This blog is managed by me, Donna Maria Coles Johnson, an award-winning small business advocate. She is also the founder and CEO of the Indie Business Radio show. She also manages the Indie Business Blog, providing unique and customized tips and advice to help small and independent business owners maximize their success in life and business. This blog will to track state and federal legislation that affects small and independent business owners, and to engage our customers, our communities, public and private entities, legislators and policy makers with regard to legislation that impacts our ability to serve our customers as we expand our businesses..

Through this blog, I hope to host a place that allows us to work together efficiently and effectively to inform policy makers and lawmakers about the unique effect of laws on very small businesses which constite the lifeblood of the American economy. Another purpose of the blog is to create a place where we can develop our own policy statements and advocacy positions so that we can affect public policy on behalf of micro-business owners nationwide.
